Una gatita llamada Mabel:
¡Hola! Soy Romina Romaniello, tu profesora de español de Hola Spanish ¡Feliz viernes! Por fin llegó el último día de la semana ¿Tienes planes para el fin de semana? Yo tengo planes de pasarlo con mi gatita, Mabel. Mabel vino a nuestras vidas después de tomar la decisión de adoptar un gatito del albergue local. Quizás porque vengo de Argentina en donde hay muchos animales en la calle sin hogar y porque todas nuestras mascotas de la infancia nos las dejó alguien en el jardín de casa sin preguntar, pero ni lo pensé dos veces en rescatar un animalito en vez de pagar mucho dinero por un gato de raza.
Hi! This is Romina Romaniello, your Spanish teacher at Hola Spanish. Happy Friday! Finally, the last day of the week is here. Do you have any plans for the weekend? I plan to spend it with my kitty cat, Mabel. Mabel came to our lives after making the decision to adopt a cat from a local shelter. Maybe because I come from Argentina where there’s lots of street animals without a home and because all our pets from childhood were left to us on the front garden without asking, but I didn’t think about it twice about rescuing an animal instead of paying a lot of money to get a breed cat.
Mabel es una gatita muy dulce y sociable. Es negra y tiene unas manchas blancas en el torso y las patitas. Aparentemente, nadie quería adoptarla porque era negra y la gente asocia a los gatos negros con mala suerte y supersticiones raras 🙁 yo no lo pensé ni un segundo, quise adoptarla de inmediato. Hoy hace ya 2 años que Mabel es la indiscutible reina de la casa ¡Me encanta llegar a casa y jugar con ella todos los días! ¿Y tú? ¿Tienes mascotas?
Mabel is a very sweet and sociable cat. She’s black and has a few white spots in the chest and her little paws. Apparently, nobody wanted to adopt her because she’s black and people associate black cats with bad luck and weird superstitions 🙁 I didn’t think about it for a second, I wanted to adopt her straight away. Today it’s been 2 years that Mable is without a question the queen of the home ¡I love coming back home and playing with her every day! What about you? Do you have pets?

Le gusta dormir en el sofá y tomar el sol de la tarde en la terraza ronroneando sin parar. Por la mañana le gusta jugar en el jardín y cazar insectos. Cuando tiene hambre salta en la cama y me despierta maullando para que le dé de comer.
