Keep your cool and learn how to say cool in Spanish:
¡Hola a todos! Soy Romina Romaniello, tu profesora de español de Hola Spanish. It’s Romina here today ¿Cómo estás? Welcome to Hola Tuesday, your weekly Spanish lesson!!
Is ‘cool’ still a cool word?
I was never a cool kid in school, probably because I enjoyed doing nerdy activities like reading and watching animated movies. Having a talent for telling others random facts that aren’t related whatsoever to the conversation and/or the situation certainly didn’t help… Did you know that ketchup was sold as medicine in the 1830s?
I’m not ashamed to admit I wasn’t cool – and that I’ll probably never be – because as you grow older, you realise that there is no such thing as being “popular.” I’m sure that we all have hobbies or habits that makes us ‘uncool’ in some way but at the same time it’s what makes us unique. And when your friends and family love you for who you really are, it’s literally the coolest thing in the world! I’d love to know more about you, is there anything ‘totally uncool’ that you love to do? Let me know in the comments below.
Now to the cool part of this blog. Today I’m going to teach you the different ways to say COOL in Spanish! ¡Por favor repite después de mí! / Please repeat after me!
There are MANY ways for saying ‘cool’ in Spanish. This is because the word ‘cool’ is slang and it varies from region to region. The translation will vary depending on what country you’re in and who you’re talking to. Which one do you think you’ll use? Please comment below.
That’s all for today, I’ll see you next week on your Hola Tuesday lesson! ¡Adiós! ¡Hasta la próxima clase! Remember to sign up to your Hola Spanish FREE lesson here.
